Privacy Policy

Information you send us

When you use one of our forms (Get Listed, Claim Your Listing, Post a Job, or the newsletter sign-up), we receive what you type in, such as your name, email, phone number, business details, and any business card, logo or photo you upload.

We use it to review and publish listings and job posts, to contact you about your request, and to send the newsletter if you signed up for it. Forms are delivered to us through our website host, Netlify.

What appears publicly

Business details you ask us to publish, such as the business name, phone, address, website, social links and card image, appear on 561local.com because that’s the purpose of a directory. Contact details you give only so we can reach you, like the email on a job post form, are not shown on the site.

Visit counts

We use two privacy-friendly analytics tools, GoatCounter and Ahrefs Web Analytics, to count page visits and taps on buttons like Call, Directions and Website. They don’t use cookies and don’t build a personal profile of you. We use the totals to improve the site and to show listed businesses how many people found them.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell, rent or trade your information.
• We don’t show ads from ad networks.
• We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Other services

Some pages include Spotlight videos from YouTube, shown in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and links to Google Maps, business websites and social media. When you use those, the other service’s own privacy policy applies.

The 561 Local Weekly

To update or remove a listing, see what information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, email info@561local.com.

Children

561 Local is meant for adults and local businesses. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
