About 561 Local

Why I started it

Hi, I’m Tisha. I’ve spent about 19 years in convenience retail management here in South Florida, and I once ran my own business, Tropi-Q Mobile Catering. Running it, I learned how hard it is for a small business to get in front of the people right down the street.

I wished there had been a place that brought local owners and local customers together. 561 Local is that place: a community that supports the people who make the 561 what it is.

Together Everyone Achieves More

Everything here follows one belief I call T.E.A.M.: Together Everyone Achieves More. When a neighbor shares a great barber, bakery or electrician, everybody wins. 561 Local is that recommendation, organized for the whole county.

What you’ll find here

• The directory: local businesses by category and city, each one personally reviewed before it’s listed.
• Spotlights: short videos that introduce the owners behind the businesses.
• Events and jobs: what’s happening around the county and who’s hiring.
• The 561 Local Weekly: a free weekly email with new businesses, local deals and events.

Our promise

Listing is free. Every business is reviewed by a real person, and the directory stays fair: listings appear in alphabetical order, so every business gets the same chance to be found.
